verdun

Verdun

Death is near,Or far
Its hard to tell
Time has left me, here, alone
Dying in this once green field
Now only death surrounds me
The cries of birds replaced by those of men
Their cruel lives torn from them by those in power.
While they dance, we die
Our lives draining away.
It was different once, I think.
I lived, I breathed, I felt
Now only mud, blood, cold
No pain, not now
Its gone, flowing with the red blood
Seeping into the earth that consumes me
Im gone now, nothing but a memory, a name carved in stone.
A single tear of crystal clarity
And oblivion.

I'm Back

Phew,

Well I'm back, after a total hard drive failure, I have at least a semblance of a systerm, hopefully however I should be up and running as normal come next week with a shiny new hard drive :)

Autumn Leaf

Crumpled paper falling into skeletal oblivion.
Summers forgotten dreams left behind to dance in the wind.

This Was something I wrote about six years ago

Dark

It was DARK the day that I died

It was DARK when the Knife blade slid between my shoulders.

It was DARK in the alley with the rain lashing down and the wind howling.

It was DARK,
and shadows hid the face of the man that murdered me.

It was Dark as the hot, red, blood pumped out
and the cold night seeped in.

It was DARK as I fell and stumbled cracking my knees against the cold, hard, concrete.

And as I drew my final breath and my eyes closed,
at last, I saw the LIGHT.

Night Crossing

Scared eyes,
Bright lights
Sit still, No flight

Nose sniff,
Strange smell
Here comes Death-Kill

Loud noise,
Heart beat
Danger Passes, into Night

Move now, run fast
Ears twitch, danger past?

Wet grass, safe smell
Rest now, all well
